On March 28, 2025, the second meeting of the Local Advisory Board of the Râu Sadului Demonstrator, part of the European project MountResilience – Accelerating adaptation to climate transformation for greater resilience in European mountain regions, will take place.
Organized as a stakeholder advisory council, the event brings together local authorities, experts, partner organizations, and community members to assess the current status of the project and shape its strategic direction.

The Role of the Râu Sadului Regional Demonstrator
Implemented in partnership by ROHEALTH – Health and Bioeconomy Cluster and the Râu Sadului Municipality, the Romanian demonstrator aims to test and implement concrete solutions for enhancing the resilience of mountain communities against climate change.
The meeting will feature a presentation of the main results achieved so far, as well as the key role of the demonstrator within the broader MountResilience initiative, which supports European mountainous regions in their adaptation journey.
Community Resilience Solutions
The agenda includes the presentation of key solutions developed at the Râu Sadului Demonstrator, such as:
- Technologies to enhance community resilience, co-developed with HFA and ICDM, focusing on extreme weather adaptation and efficient resource management.
- Social financing mechanisms for end-users, supported by SFA, aimed at ensuring accessibility and sustainability of the proposed measures.
Looking Ahead
Participants will work together to define priorities and set concrete actions for the next implementation phase, with a strong focus on community engagement and tailoring solutions to local needs.
